What is an Arduino?

An Arduino is a programmable microcontroller with pins so that you can program components such as lights, displays, and motors. It is programmed in a variant of C++, optimized to program Arduino boards specifically.

Available Workshops

Each workshop comes with a kit that you get to keep! Want to sign up for multiple workshops? For each additional workshop you sign up for at once, take $50 off! Starting with the beginner workshop is a must unless you have prior experience!

Beginner's - $250 (Includes kit worth $80)

This workshop consists of 5 projects that teach the very basics of Arduino circuitry and programming with a variety of sensors, LEDs, and a display. No experience necessary!

Motors - $250 (Includes kit worth $110)

The motors workshop teaches the basics of wiring and programming three types of motors: DC motors, stepper motors, and servo motors. You will learn how each motor works as well as the technology that drives them.

Robotics - $300 (Includes kit worth $140)

This workshop features the Arduino Alvik, a programmable robot! This workshop not only showcases some of the many sensors the robot has but also teaches bluetooth connectivity between Arduino boards!

Next session: Wednesday, June 18th from 2pm - 5pm

IoT - $300 (Includes kit worth $160)

With IoT (Internet of Things), you can preform tasks wirelessly in a different fasion than bluetooth! In this workshop, you will learn the ins and outs of Arduino Cloud and WiFi connectivity with Arduino boards.

Consultation - $50/hour

Have an idea for a project and don't know where to begin? Need to learn how to use a microcontroller, sensor, or component? Intrested in a specific topic? Want to learn how to programming and circuitry with Arduino but can't make the above dates? Ask for a private consultation!

General Information

Workshops are held at the Milton Maker's Makerspace at 104 Church Street, Milton NY 12547. There is a non-refundable deposit of $100 per each session. You may bring a friend along to share the kit for no extra cost (just please notify if so). Children must be accompanied by an adult. To sign up, please email:
